Cruising Musings is now Networked on Facebook

Well, it's done! Not sure that I followed the directions properly, or that I could repeat the process in the same order again, but this blog is now networked on Facebook!

This means (I think) that all my blog posts here will now be fed to my facebook Cruise Ready Store fan Page . (If you're on Facebook, please consider becoming a Facebook Fan of Cruise Ready Store!) So, you can now follow this blog right from Facebook.

If you'd like to set up your blog to feed entries to your facebook page, don't bumble through like I did... get some help at The Selling Lounge, where Valerie, of Mulewagon Antiques and Collectibles has been kind enough to post some step by step directions.

Well, here goes ... I'm gonna publish this post, and then see if it appears on my facebook page!

EDIT: It worked. (sort of) It's not feeding to a separate 'blog' page, but it's feeding.

Thank you to Mary at KreatesKards Blog!

It's always nice to be recognized, and today, I want to thank Mary, who writes the KreatesKards blog, and point my readers back in her direction.

Mary very kindly mentioned Cruising Musings on her blog. Finding a notification of her Circle of Friends Award in my mailbox this morning was a wonderful way to start my day!

The cards this talented lady creates are absolutely amazing... Please take a moment to visit her KreatesKards blog, You'll see some photos of her amazing handiwork, and even some tutorials. You'll be glad you did. She also makes cards to send to our soldiers in combat zones, for which SHE deserves a big thank you from all of us!

Sailaway tomorrow.

All packed and ready for an O Dark Thirty departure in the morning... It's time to cruise!

My original plans were to drive to the port, but found an air special for $9 more that what port parking alone would cost. So, a one hour flight it is.

I am SO ready to see my good friend and cruising buddy again. And, we're both ready to hit that beautiful turquoise water for some quality snorkel time.

The store is closed, but the blog will continue through the cruise. Stay tuned . . .

A little maintenance

I spent some time this morning working on the blog set-up, so haven't made time to do a post about cruising today.

I think the look and functionality of the blog is somewhat improved as a result of changing the format from two columns to three, and moving some things around. I also added a few new links that people might find of interest.

In addition, I made a place near the upper left for a small photo, which I may change from time to time. The current picture is one of my favorite views of the lighthouse in the Harbor in Nassau, The Bahamas. Hope you like the changes, and enjoy the Nassau Sunrise.

. . .And so the Blog Begins

I'm coming late to blogging, so, there's a lot to make up.

Much - but certainly not all - of this blog will be about one of my favorite activities - cruising.
So, I've called it Cruising Musings... and other stuff. Not sure yet what the 'other stuff' will be about, but this is only the beginning, and, after all, there ARE other things in the world besides ships and cruises and ports and cruiselines and cruising friends.

we're pretty new to cruising, having been on 29, but we sure do like cruising When I'm not on a ship (which hasn't been a lot lately, due to the economy) I spend some of my spare time as moderator of a cruise forum called Cruise Line Fans.

One of my business endeavors is an on-line specialty store for cruisers, which I named Cruise Ready Store. So, you see, I really do have a bad case of the cruise bug, and it was only natural that I start a blog that would at least partially concentrate on the world of cruising.

OK - Guess that's enough for a starting entry. More to come.
